Sodium cyanide,a chemical product,can cause poisoning and death upon contact with skin wounds,inhalation,and ingestion in trace amounts.However,sodium cyanide is also a basic chemical raw material,mainly used in industries such as machinery,chemical,pharmaceutical,metallurgical,etc.Today,the editor will introduce the issues that should be paid attention to when transporting sodium cyanide.

　　1.Solid or liquid sodium cyanide should be packaged in wooden boxes or iron drums outside glass bottles.

　　2.Store in a dry and ventilated warehouse.It is advisable to store in a dedicated warehouse.The warehouse should be reinforced with double personnel and double locks for safekeeping.

　　3.Staff entering the warehouse should wear work clothes,gas masks,and other protective equipment.After work,they should remove all protective equipment,wash their hands with water,immerse their face and hands in dilute sodium hypochlorite solution for disinfection,and then rinse them with water.

　　4.Do not drink tea or smoke during work breaks,and do not touch skin wounds that have not healed.Do not store or mix with acids,chlorates,sodium nitrite,or edible ingredients during transportation.Do not let them get damp and ensure that the container is sealed.

　　5.When dealing with leaked materials,it is necessary to wear a gas mask and gloves,sweep up,add excess sodium hypochlorite solution,let it sit for 24 hours,confirm that all sodium cyanide has decomposed,dilute it,and put it into the wastewater system.

　　6.After soaking the contaminated area in sodium hypochlorite solution for 24 hours,rinse it with a large amount of water and put the washing water into the wastewater system.
